From the Côte d’Azur to the Adria

I actually wanted to cycle to Alassio, but my pedal broke after I just had left Nice. While searching for a bike shop, I had flyby by Pogacar. Incredible!

Anyhow, went to the bike shop, they were able to fix my bike, but I couldn’t cycle that day anymore. So, I needed to take the train to Alessio.

I didn’t ride this part.

In the beginning, it was a very nice day. But the closer I came to Genova, the more annoying it got with traffic.

Due to the traffic, it took me ages to get out of Genova. On top of that, I had very heavy head wind and I felt quite bad. Therefore, I decided to take the train to La Spezia.

Amazing day through the northern part of Tuscany. Wonderful landscape, great weather and Lucca is a very beautiful city!

Another amazing day through Tuscany into Firenze. Rode on the famous Strade Bianchi. Also a short “hike a bike” involved, due to a massive construction side. But, this makes biketouring adventures.

Another day in Tuscany and more Strade Bianchi. It’s just amazing to ride in this wonderful area. At least by foot, I had to walk up the famous last climb of the race.

Slowly but surely leaving Tuscany. I just can recommend everyone to cycle in this wonderful area.

Left very early in the morning, because a storm was announced. So, I did a nice climb during sun rise and arrived early in San Marino (new country alert!!!).

Downhill from San Marino and along the coastline. Nice day with a well deserved jump into the sea at the end of the day.
Traffic around Ravenna is a bit annoying, but afterwards, very nice.

Incredible flat day along the cost and into Padova. Nothing special though.

I left incredibly early to catch my flight from Venice to Berlin to support Freiburg in the cup final. Fuck, we lost. Luckily, I had a great time on the trip.
