Anything to consider?

In the country side, restaurants are often closed on Mondays. Take this into account when planning where to stay.

Highlights

Cycling in Alsace is amazing, as well as having a well earned Champagne in Champagne.

Food

Especially on Mondays not so easy. A lot of these smaller villages don't have a bakery or similar anymore. I recommend to take a bit more than necessary to be on the safe side.

We took the train to Trilport, because cycling out of Paris is quite annoying with a lot of cars and traffic.

The trip itself was fun and easy going. The only problem we encountered was that we didn’t find a place to eat since everything in the country side was closed. Be aware when packing food and drinks.

Nice tour! Nothing special, but it was great cycling through the vineyards of the famous wines in Champagne.

The day started with a climb and sadly, the decent is into Nancy where speeding is not possible. At the end of the day, we reached the Vosges.

First crossing the Vosges. We rode a lot on the roads that have been ridden by the Tour de France the same year. Perfect tarmac!
After riding into Germany, we had to cross the Kaiserstuhl and made it to Freiburg.
